Many have been waiting for the grand finale of Indiana Jones to hit theaters. While we aren’t quite there yet, the first trailer was dropped and millions of people have already watched it on YouTube after only one day.
It’s clear that they are looking to close out Harrison Ford’s character by honing in on the nostalgia of the film series. However, there have been many fans commenting that they are worried the film is going to miss the mark, based on the trailer.
Part of the charm of the OG Indiana Jones movies is the lack of CGI and, instead, the use of real physical effects. This trailer, instead, is obviously almost exclusively green screen and CGI, which means the action can be more over-the-top, yet less believable.
Hopefully, though, the trailer doesn’t do the film justice and Disney captures the spirit of Indiana Jones in the upcoming Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny.
We’ll find out when it’s released in movie theaters around the country on June 30th, 2023.
